Our place in the story

Established in Petersburg.
At home in Dinwiddie.

Grace began in Petersburg in 1957 and moved to its present River Road home in 1973. Today, the church continues to preach God’s Word, share the Gospel locally and throughout the world, and encourage believers to grow in Christ.

A church kept steady
by the Word.

Grace is not built around novelty. The aim is simple: preach the Bible, exalt Christ, reach people with the Gospel, and help believers grow.

The Bible we preach

One Bible.
Preached plainly.

Grace Baptist Church uses and supports only the King James Version in English. It is the only Bible version used in our preaching, teaching, and public ministry.

We believe all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, without error, and wholly trustworthy. We also believe God has preserved His Word for every generation and has given English-speaking people that preserved Word in the King James Bible.

Using one Bible keeps the voice of Scripture clear and consistent throughout the church—in the pulpit, Sunday School, children’s ministries, public reading, memorization, and discipleship. “KJV only” does not mean the Bible should be difficult to understand. We are committed to reading the text distinctly, explaining its meaning faithfully, and applying it plainly to everyday life.

Pastor Reynolds and his wife, Courtney, were both saved at a young age and raised in independent, fundamental Baptist churches. He surrendered to preach at age ten during summer camp, and both served in a variety of ministries as they grew.

They graduated from Commonwealth Baptist College in 2012. Pastor Reynolds received a Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Theology, and Courtney received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Before coming to Grace, their family served at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky, under Pastor Dewayne Walker.

The Reynolds family’s desire is to please, glorify, and worship their Heavenly Father. Their ministry focus includes seeing souls saved, baptized, and discipled; loving their family and church family; preaching the Bible in the power of the Holy Spirit; keeping Christ at the center; and remaining old-time without compromise.
