Who we are
Grace Baptist Church is an independent Baptist church in North Dinwiddie, Virginia. Our public website address at launch will be gbcpetersburg.com.
Information you choose to send
The Contact page offers two separate forms. The visitor-question form asks for your name, email address, an optional phone number, and your question. The prayer-request form asks for your name, email address, prayer request, and whether you would like Pastor Reynolds to respond.
Please do not use either form to send financial account numbers, medical records, government identification numbers, or other information that is not needed for the church to respond.
How messages are used and routed
Form submissions are sent by email and are not saved as WordPress posts, comments, user accounts, or form entries on the website. Visitor questions are emailed to the church office and Pastor Reynolds. Prayer requests are emailed only to Pastor Reynolds and are not routed to the congregation.
The church uses the information you send to read your message, pray, respond when requested, and protect the forms from abuse. Grace Baptist Church does not sell form information.
Spam protection and security records
The forms use a hidden spam field, a time check, and a submission limit. To enforce that limit, the site temporarily stores a one-way hash derived from the submitting connection’s IP address and a submission count for up to one hour. The form email itself does not include that IP address.
Like most hosted websites, the web server and security systems may record technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, and request time in logs used for reliability, troubleshooting, and security.
Cookies and administrator access
Public visitors do not need an account to use this site. WordPress uses cookies when authorized church or agency administrators sign in. Those cookies support login security and administrator preferences. At launch, the public site does not use advertising pixels or visitor-profile analytics.
Embedded video and outside services
The Sermons page uses a privacy-enhanced YouTube player that loads only when a visitor chooses a sermon. When the player loads, YouTube may receive technical information and may use cookies or similar technologies under Google’s privacy terms. Links to YouTube, Facebook, maps, and other websites take you to services governed by their own privacy practices.
How long information is kept
The temporary form rate-limit record expires after up to one hour. Email copies of questions and prayer requests may remain in the recipients’ church mailboxes and backups until they are deleted under the church’s normal mailbox practices. Server and security-log retention is controlled by the hosting and security systems.
Your choices
You may call or email the church instead of using a form. If you have a question about a message you sent, want to correct it, or want the church to consider deleting its email copy, contact the church through the public phone number or email address on the Contact page. Some records may need to be kept when required for security, legal, or administrative reasons.
Policy changes
This policy should be updated when the site begins using a new form processor, analytics service, advertising tool, embedded service, or materially different retention practice. The current revision date will appear at the top of this page.
